Terms & Conditions

1.Acceptance

It is not necessary for any client to have signed an acceptance of these terms and conditions for them to apply. If a client accepts a quote then the client will be deemed to have satisfied themselves as to the terms applying and have accepted these terms and conditions in full.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. Any purchase or use of our services implies that you have read and accepted our terms and conditions.

2.Validity

Quotations are valid for a period of 6 months unless otherwise stated.

3.Permission

The trees concerned may be subject to  a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), be in a conservation area/SSSI, or be subject to other planning and felling restrictions.

The customer must obtain the necessary permissions from the relevant authority before any works can be carried out.

4.Underground/Overground Services

Where any underground or over ground services are present on site where work is being undertaken it is the responsibility of the customer to inform Weldon Tree and Landscapes who will then take the required precautions to enable us to undertake the work safely. Weldon Tree and Landscapes shall not be liable for any damage caused where the customer has failed to inform Weldon Tree and Landscapes of the presence of any services.

5.Site Access and Preparation

The customer is responsible for removing personal property from the work area such as garden furniture, bird feeders, small trinkets, potted plants and any vehicles that may be in the work area, we always take great care not to cause damage to any property but we will not be responsible for damage to any substandard surfaces.

The contract price is based on the site conditions as inspected on the quotation visit, Weldon Tree and Landscapes reserves the right to levy additional costs subject to the degree of additional obstructions or to delay and will not accept any responsibility for any damage or loss incurred through the need to clear the access for works.

6. Cancellation

A minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation or delay of scheduled works is required, otherwise a minimum of 30% of the contract price will be levied.

7.Payment

Payment will be due within a maximum of 28 days on completion of work, late payments are liable for a interest charge of 8.5% per month after 56 days from completion of work if no payment has been made the debit will be turned over to an outside service for collection, if outside assistance is used to collect the account, the customer is responsible for all costs associated with the collection.  

8.Additional work

If during the execution of the contract additional works are requested by the customer which are outside of the original quotation, then their cost can be agreed on site or an additional quotation can be prepared which may necessitate a further site inspection.

9.Stump Grinding

Stump grinding will be to a depth of 250mm below the immediately adjacent ground level but will not include the removal of lateral roots or stump chippings unless specified, the client will advise on any underground services so the required safety precautions can be made.
